PAS Pahang will suggest to Pahang State Government to emulate Terengganu State Government which does gender segregation in cinemas in the state.
Pahang PAS Commissioner, Rosli Abdul Jabbar said, the proposal will be proposed in the near future as the measures implemented by the Terengganu Government is a good action.
He described the rules of segregation as coinciding with the teachings of Islam which prioritizes efforts to prevent things that can bring negative elements.
"The best action as well as meeting the conditions gives more comfort to men and women as long as they are in the cinema to watch movies.
"PAS does not hesitate to suggest good measures to be implemented in Pahang if it has the full consent of the Pahang Government," he said when contacted in Kuantan today.
Previously, Terengganu Government announced gender segregation in cinemas as set starting July 4.
Terengganu Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said, the State Government will not loosen the rules and guidelines despite pressure from various parties.
