Pahang back to new case of COVID-19
KUANTAN July 22 - After more than a month of clean record for COVID-19 case, Pahang finally recorded a case when a Filipino was confirmed positive.
The 26-years old ship crew entered the country through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) last Thursday.
The ship crew arrived in Pahang last Friday and boarded the ship at Kuantan Port (Pelabuhan Kuantan) the next day.
State Health Director, Datuk Bahari Awang Ngah confirmed the latest case involving a Filipino citizen on the ship.
Meanwhile, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Hal Ehwal Agama Islam, Pelajaran dan Kesihatan negeri, Datuk Seri Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad expressed disappointment at how the positive Covid-19 Filipino could enter the country.
Therefore, he hopes that enforcement could be tightened so that the spread of the pandemic can be controlled.
